Guide and Hearing Dogs are welcome at the Hall. Please let us know when you are booking your tickets so that we can offer appropriate box seating where your dog can remain with you during the performance. If you prefer, or if you are sitting in an area which is unsuitable for dogs, you may leave your dog with a cloakroom steward until the end of the performance.

The auditorium has an infra-red system with a number of personal receivers for use with or without hearing aids.To make use of this service, collect a free receiver from the information desk at Door 6, Ground floor. Please note that there is no loop system in the auditorium.

The Royal Albert Hall has many entrances at Ground level. Ramped access is located at Doors 1, 3, 8, 9 and 12. Lifts Door 1, two eight-person lifts (Door width 79cm, Depth 139cm each) with automatic doors, tactile buttons and voice announcements. Door 8, an eight-person lift (Door width 90cm, Depth 144cm) with automatic doors, Braille, tactile numbering and voice announcements. These lifts serve all levels from Basement to Gallery. Arena Foyers can be accessed via a platform lift (door width 98cm, depth 140cm) from Basement level at Door 1.

Toilets and Cloakrooms Unisex wheelchair accessible toilets are located as follows: Ground level, Door 4 porch (Door width 84cm, Side transfer 82cm) Ground level, Door 8 porch (Door width 84cm, Side transfer 82cm) Arena Foyer level, Door 1 (Door width 83cm, Side transfer 79cm) Grand Tier, Door 4 (Door width 86cm, Side transfer 78cm) Circle level, Door 8 (Door width 82cm, Side transfer 105cm)

Stalls - 1 Step down to back row of Stalls (row 11) and 21 steps down to front row. There are eleven steps, with handrails on both sides, from the Foyer corridor up to each Arena entrance.The Arena is not accessible to wheelchair users. From Ground level there are five steps up to the Loggia Boxes, with handrails on each side. This level of box seating is not accessible to wheelchair users. Each box is on a split level with two steps down to the back row of seating and one further step to the front row. Grand Tier and Second Tier The upper levels of boxes, on the Grand Tier and Second Tier, can be accessed via the public lifts at Doors 1and 8. Box doors at Grand Tier and Second Tier are generally 66cm wide but some have widths up to 140cm.Within the boxes, the seating is split level, with a total of four steps in each Grand Tier box and one step in each Second Tier box. Circle The Circle can be accessed via the public lifts at Doors 1 and 8.There is level access to the six wheelchair spaces in the Circle.The front row (Row1) is one step up and there are twenty-one steps up to the back row (Row 9). The Circle seating has a steep gradient and all stepped aisles are provided with support rails at the entry to each row of seats.

The Royal Albert Hall of Arts and Sciences is an arts venue dedicated to Queen Victoria's husband and consort, Prince Albert. It is situated in the South Kensington area of London, England.

The hall was originally to have been called The Central Hall of Arts and Sciences, but the name was changed by Queen Victoria when laying the foundation stone. It forms the practical part of a national memorial to the Prince Consort - the decorative part is the Albert Memorial directly to the north in Kensington Gardens, now separated from the Hall by the heavy traffic along Kensington Gore. The hall also accommodates the largest pipe organ in the UK, and is the home of The Proms. As well as hosting concerts, the Royal Albert also hosts The Masters Senior tennis final.

As the best known building within the cultural complex known as Albertopolis, the hall is commonly and erroneously thought to lie within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The hall is actually within the area of the City of Westminster. The site was part of the former Kensington Gore estate which was historically part of Knightsbridge.
